Let x = Length of the rectangle.

then, width = x+ 3

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length +width)

Then, Perimeter = 2 (x+x+3)

= 2 (2x+3)

Since perimeter = 50 cm

`\Rightarrow\ 2x+3=25` [Divide both sides by 2]
