so the volume of a cone = 16 cubic inches
height = 12 in

V= area of base *h /3

16 = pi*r^2 *12/3
48 = pi*r^2 *12 divide both sides by 12

4 = pi*r^2
4 = 3,14 *r^2 divide both sides by 3,14

4/(3,14) = r^2

r^2 = 1,27

r = sqrt1,27

r = 1,126

hope helped
