Analyze. Gladwell examines the history of the U.S. public school system in section . 2 (lines 53–115) before he discusses summer vacation in section 3 (lines 116–221). How do the ideas and information in section 2 support his discussion in section 3?

His ideas in section 2 discuss about student's minds resembling rice paddies, needing cultivation and rest. This idea leads to the unquestioned feature of Summer vacation in American education. In section 3, he begins to question it. He goes to the point of suggesting that Asian schools succeed because they have minimal or no summer vacation.
