Exponential notation is basically just getting rid of zeroes!
It's really simple, promise.
60,000 has four zeroes
(All you have to do is count them)
Then you just have to apply the 6... 6 times 10^4

Okay the answer is 6.0×10^4, you move the decimal point behind the first number and count all the spaces you moved. You moved four spaces so it would be to the power of 4. So 6.0×10^4 is the answer.
