Trapezoid TUVW is shown on the coordinate plane below:

If trapezoid T'U'V'W' represents trapezoid TUVW reflected over the y-axis, the ordered pair of W' is ___________. (Note: You must include parentheses, a comma, and a space after the comma when typing the ordered pair.
T (4,6) U (7,6) V (7,3) W(2,3)

W' (-2, 3)

Since the quadrant that it's in is positive-positive, reflecting over the Y-axis would only make it negative-positive.

Answer:

The ordered pair of W' is (-2,3).

Explanation:

The vertices of trapezoid TUVW are T (4,6) U (7,6) V (7,3) W(2,3).

If a figure reflected over the y-axis, then y-coordinate remains the same but the sign of x-coordinate is changed.

(x,y)\rightarrow (-x,y)

We have to find the image of W after reflection over the y-axis.

W(2,3)\rightarrow W'(-2,3)

Therefore the ordered pair of W' is (-2,3).
