50% = A half, which means half a number.
So, half of $20 is $10.
So we talk 10 off from 20 which means Brenna pays $10
Hope, this helps!!!

Half of 20 dollars is 10 dollars so she will have to pay 10 dollars for the shoes. 50% off means half of (divide in half)
