It is a true statement that under the heading of plate tectonics, there are three types of boundaries. It is also a true statement that in a convergent boundary, plates collide. The correct option among the two options that are given in the question for the two statements in question is the first option. I hope the answer helps you.

The answer is True. In a convergent boundary, two tectonic plates collide as they move in opposite directions, and there is a subduction zone where there are deep trenches. As the heavier tectonic plate, mostly the oceanic plate, is subducted, it enters the mantle and begins to melt. This makes magma that rises and erupts into a volcano in the overlying continental plate. This is how the Andes Mountains were formed.
