We are asked to represent the costs of living per person in the family. Integers are natural numbers including the positive and negative ones. The costs of living can be expressed in whole numbers or accurately numbers with decimals. Hence, the answer to this problem is C.

Let

x-------> the number of persons in the family

f(x)------> the function represent the cost of living

we know that

The domain of the function would only include positive integers, because the number of persons can not be negative or a fraction

The range of the function would only include positive numbers, because the cost can not be negative

therefore

the answer is the option B

The domain would only include positive integers.
