carbon dioxide is involved in the atmosphere through a series of steps in the carbon cycle. Carbon dioxide is given off as a by-product of digestion of animals where when given-off, the plants use this as a precursor for photosynthesis and creation of energy and food . Throughout the cycle, carbon dioxide can be existing up to 350 years
