The percentage of students who passed the first and the second quiz is still 60%. The 80% that passed the first quiz should not be taken into account when determining the answer since the 60% is plainly given.

Answer:

The answer is 75%.

Explanation:

Let x be the total number of students in the class.

As given - 80% of the class passed the first quiz, so it can be represented as
0.8x

And only 60% of the class passed the second quiz, that is represented as
0.6x

So, to determine the percentage of students who passed the first quiz that also passed the second quiz, we will do the following:

(0.6x)/(0.8x)*100= 75

Therefore, 75% students passed the first quiz and also passed the second quiz.
