The bottle of medicine holds a quarter of litre.
Therefore, total volume = (1/4) l = 0.25 l = (250/1000) l = 250ml

Since he has used half, half of it is left.
Left = (1/2) * 250ml = 125 ml

How sponfuls left, if each is 9ml.

Number left = (125ml/9ml) =13.89

The number left is just the whole number part, we drop the decimal part.
= 13 Spoonfuls left.

Quarter litre = 250ml
He uses half so : 250/2 = 125ml

If each spoon holds 9ml -

125/9 which = 13.8, therefor 13 spoonfuls left
