Which two-dimensional shape that exists in quadrant I only of a coordinate graph can be rotated about the y-axis to create a sphere?

The answer to the question given above is "semicircle". If the semicircle is drawn such that the straight line is vertical and it is rotated around the y-axis, the sphere is formed. In the same way, sphere is also created if a semicircle with horizontal line is rotated along the x - axis.
