If a is perpendicular to b

b is perpendicular to c,
c is parallel to d,
and d is perpendicular to e,
which is NOT true?

I put it like that in hopes that it will be more understandable.

o a is perpendicular to e
o a is parallel to c
o a is parallel to d
o b is parallel to d

Answer with explanation:

The Information about lines or Line Segment a, b , c , d and e are:

→a is perpendicular to b

→b is perpendicular to c,

→c is parallel to d,

→and d is perpendicular to e.

Drawing the Image of the given Information

→Line a, c and d are Parallel.

→Line b and e are Parallel.

→a ⊥ b and a ⊥ e.

→c ⊥ b and c ⊥ e.

→d ⊥ b and d ⊥ e.

The Statement which are not true is:

Option D:→ b is parallel to d

If a is perpendicular to b b is perpendicular to c, c is parallel to d, and d is perpendicular-example-1

In order to know the correct answer, it is best if you draw the lines. Then, the correct answer from the choices above is the last option. The statement "b is parallel to d" is not true rather b is perpendicular to d. B is perpendicular to c which is parallel to d so b and d are perpendicular to each other.
