Given function is,

y = ⌊x⌋,

Which is a greatest integer function,

Since, the greatest integer function is a piece-wise defined function, that gives an integer value, also, If the number is not an integer, we use the next smaller integer.

Thus, ⌊5.7⌋ = ⌊5+ 0.7⌋ = 5,

Hence, when x = 5.7 ,

y = ⌊5.7⌋ = 5,
