Since the amount collected (y) is proportional to the number of tickets sold (x), then the relation between x and y is of the form:

y=kx

Where k is the constant of proportionality.

To find the value of k, substitute the corresponding values of y and x from one row. Take for instance x=50 and y=275, which is the data from day 1:

\begin{gathered} 275=k\cdot50 \\ \Rightarrow k=(275)/(50) \\ \Rightarrow k=5.5 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the equation that can be used to find y is:

y=5.5x
