In order to calculate the amount of cookies made by both of them we need to add the individual amount that each one of them made. Therefore:


\begin{gathered} \text{total = dave + theo} \\ \text{total = 14.84 + 21.45 = }36.29 \end{gathered}

They made 36.29 pounds of cookies together.
