What is the solution for the equation 8x − 12 = 4x? x = ___. (input whole number only).

x=3
because you subtract 4x to 8x leaving 4x. Then you add 12 to the other side looking like this

4x=12

Now you divide by 4 getting 3.

So you have x=3

-12 = 4x - 8x
-12 = - 4x
-12/-4 = x
3 = x
