Let,

\begin{gathered} 4x+12y=-8\text{ ..}.(1) \\ 41-2y=6\ldots(2) \end{gathered}

From the expression (2).

\begin{gathered} 41-2y=6 \\ -2y=6-41 \\ y=(6-41)/(-2) \\ y=(-35)/(-2) \\ y=-17.5 \end{gathered}

Substitute y=-17.5 in the expression (1)

\begin{gathered} 4x-12y=-8 \\ 4x-12*(-7.5)=-8 \\ 4x+90=-8 \\ 4x=-8-90 \\ x=(-8-90)/(4) \\ x=(-98)/(4) \\ x=-24.5 \end{gathered}

Thus, the solutions are x=-24.5 and y=-17.5.
