From the given, the acceleration due to gravity of Mars is equal to 3.626 m/s². The period of an oscillating object is calculated through the equation,
T = 2π(sqrt of L/g)
Developing a ratio and proportion for the two planets,
T1 / T2 = 0.80 s / T2 = sqrt g2 / sqrt g1
The value of T2 is equal to 1.31. Therefore, the period of the pendulum in Mars is equal to 1.31 s.
