$2x-4 \ \textgreater \ 9\ \ \ |add\ 4\ to\ both\ sides\\\\2x \ \textgreater \ 13\ \ \ |divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 2\\\\\boxed{x \ \textgreater \ 6.5\to x\in(6.5;\ \infty)}$
