P=pounds

So we have the equation 4.3p+1.7p=41.94

combine like terms and we have 6p=41.94

divide both sides by 6 and we get p=6.99

$6.99 is your answer! :D

Answer:

The price of ham is $6.99 per pounds.

Explanation:

Given,

She bought ham on Tuesday = 4.3 pounds,

And, on Wednesday = 1.7 pounds.

Total pounds she bought = 4.3 + 1.7 = 6.0 pounds,

Also, her total spending in these days = $ 41.94

Hence,

\text{The price of the ham per pound}=\frac{\text{Her total spending}}{\text{Total pounds}}

=(41.94)/(6)

=\$6.99
