50g * 2 m/s = 100 gm/s

100g * 1m/s = 100 gm/s.

They both have the same momentum.

Answer : Both balls have same momentum.

Explanation :

Mass of ball 1, m₁ = 50 g = 0.05 kg

Velocity of ball 1, v₁ = 2 m/s

Mass of ball 2, m₂ = 100 g = 0.1 kg

Velocity of ball 2, v₂ = 1 m/s

The momentum of an object is the product of the mass and the velocity.

Momentum of ball 1, p₁ = m₁v₁

p_1=0.05\ kg* 2\ m/s

p_1=0.1\ kg\ m/s

Momentum of ball 2, p₂ = m₂v₂

p_2=0.1\ kg* 1\ m/s

p_1=0.1\ kg\ m/s

So, it is clear that the momentum of both the balls are same.

Hence, this is the required solution.
