How is prejudice different from not liking someone?

Prejudice is usually pre-judging someone before you actually know that person or spoken to that person where as not liking someone usually links to a certain trait or quality they have that you don't like. So disliking someone is more personal or intimate where as prejudice is just judging people without acknowledgment.

prejudice is an opinion that was preconceived and is not based on reason or experience. Not liking someone is usually because a quality that person has, you do not like. Wether it be their attitude, hair appearance, something (all of which are reasons). Disliking someone has a reason because noone ever dislikes a person just because. Theres always a reason, big or small.
