Hello ; 2x = 35-5x ... 2x + 5x = 35 ... 7x = 35 ... x = 35/7 ... x = 5 .

$2x=5(7-x)\\\\2x=5\cdot7-5\cdot x\\\\2x=35-5x\ \ \ |add\ 5x\ to\ both\ sides\\\\7x=35\ \ \ \ |divide\ both\ sides\ by\ 7\\\\\boxed{x=5}$
