switch f(x) and x
solve for f(x)
replace f(x) with f⁻¹(x)

switch

x=f(x)+4
minus 4 boh sides
x-4=f(x)
replace
f⁻¹(x)=x-4

f⁻¹(4)=x-4
f⁻¹(4)=4-4
f⁻¹(4)=0
