Ashoka the Great turnt to the teachings of the Buddha because he never wanted to repeat the devastation caused during one of his conquests. Option B is correct.

Ashoka was an Indian emperor of the Maurya Dynasty, who ruled almost all of the Indian subcontinent from c. 268 to 232 BCE. He promoted the spread of Buddhism. Buddhism constitutes the world's fourth-largest religion. It comprises a range of traditions, beliefs and spiritual practices largely based on original teachings attributed to the Buddha.
