A population of 240 animals decreases at an annual rate of 10%. Find the multiplier for the rate of exponential decay.

Given that the population of the animals decreases by 10% yearly, the population of the animals is only 90% of its population from the previous year. The answer, therefore, to the question above is that the multiplier for the rate of the exponential decay is 0.90.
