If the arc on a particular circle has an arc length of 14 inches, and the circumference of the circle is 84 inches, what is the angle measure of the arc?

The ratio of the angle to the angle of one revolution (360°) is equal to the ratio of the measure of the arc to the circumference. By letting x be the measure of the angle, the equation becomes,
x / 360 = 14 in / 84 in
The value of x is equal to 60°.
