If the same net force is applied to a 7 kg object and a 21 kg object, then. . . . the 21 kg object accelerates three times faster than the 7 kg object.. . the 7 kg object accelerates three times faster than the 21 kg object.. . both objects accelerate at the same rate because the force is the same.. . neither object will accelerate because there is a net force on the objects. . What is the acceleration due to gravity on Mars?. . . . . . a. . . . 9.8 m/s2 . . . c. . . . 12.2 m/s 2 . . . . . b. . . . 3.7 m/s2 . . . d. . . . 0.3 m/s2 . . . According to newton's second law of motion, the force applied to an object is proportional to the mass of the object and its acceleration. If the same force is applied to both, then the acceleration of 7kg object must be three times larger than that of the 21 kg. Answer is B. The acceleration due to gravity on Mars is 3.7 m/s2.The force that pulls falling objects toward Earth is called gravity.
