Solve for a
b= 3/8(a-10)

Alright, let's get rid of that fraction and bring it over to where b is~

To do that, let's multiply the reciprocal of 3/8 on both sides

*the reciprocal of 3/8 is 8/3

(3/8) x (8/3) cancel each other out leaving (a-10) on the right

b multiplied by 8/3 is b(8/3) or 8b/3

now we should have 8b/3 = a-10

the last step is to add 10 over to the left

now we have (8b/3) +10= a
