The answer in my opinion would be "d. walk away". If you control your emotions it can cause a lot of stress and build up. If you use physical force, it never works out for the best and you might do something you would regret. And you can't just simply ignore the problem.

Answer:

I would say that the one that is a basic strategy for dealing with conflict is A: control your emotions.

Step-by-step explanation:

I chose A because, although I believe that is not a good practice in the long run, as a first reaction it would be good to stay calm and try to think things through. I think the meaning of the sentence is not referred to eliminate the feelings, but to control any feeling of rage that can result from a situation of conflict. In that case, the best thing to do in order to deal with the conflict, would be to try to control your emotions, try to stay rational, feel what you need to feel, but always trying not to hurt your feelings more than they already are and, eventually, rationalize them to find the best solution. It is also why it is a strategy: because you control your emotions in order to reach another state that will help you deal with the conflict in a more intelligent way.
