Buy = $28
Sell = $24.50
Decrease = 28 - 24.50 = 3.5
% Decrease = (3.5 / 28) * 100%
= 12.5%

take the absolute value of the difference, then divide it by the original amount
|28 - 24.5| / 28 = 3.5/28 = 0.125..now we multiply that by 100 to get it into a percent 0.125 * 100 = 12.5% <== ur answer
