The number of the increase is (216 - 75) = 141

As a fraction of the original number, that's 141/75 = 1.88

To change any number to a percent
move the decimal point two places that way ==> .

1.88 = 188% .

The increase from 75 jobs to 216 jobs, is an increase of 141 jobs.

141 is 1.88 times as much as 75 ... an increase of 188% .
