Final answer:

Competition from Jack Grimm was not an obstacle that Robert Ballard faced when searching for the Titanic.

Step-by-step explanation:

Out of the provided options, competition from Jack Grimm is not an obstacle that Robert Ballard faced when searching for the Titanic.

Robert Ballard faced several obstacles during his search for the Titanic, including damage to his ship's equipment, difficulty locating the shipwreck, and laws against searching for the wreck.

While Jack Grimm was a competitor in the search for the Titanic, his presence did not pose a direct obstacle to Robert Ballard's search efforts. The main challenges arose from the hazardous conditions of the deep sea and the technical difficulties associated with locating and exploring the shipwreck.

Well B and C is an obstacle, and there really isn’t any competition against him i mean shorty was love with robert, so i think its D because the ship sunk deep, and the lower you go the more water pressure increase, thats why it took them so many years to even find the ship because they’re equipment wasn’t developed enough
