P1 = (-200, -800)

P2 = (-1000, 0)

slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

Substitution

slope = (0 + 800) / (-1000 + 200)

Simplification

slope = 800 / -800

slope = -1

Equation of the line

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y + 800 = -1(x + 200)

y + 800 = -x - 200

y = -x - 200 - 800

y = -x - 1000

Result

y = -x - 1000
