If a piece of ribbon is 5 1/2 feet long, how long is it in inches

The ribbon is 66, why?

Do it the hard/easy way.

Add 5 twelve times and you get 60 right? But then half of 12 is 6, so then add 6 to 60. Meaning 66

The ribbon would be 66 inches. This is because there is 12 inches in every foot.
