All you have to do is divide the ounces he has into how much he gives the dog each day so 128/8 is 16

Randy's dog food would only last for 16 days.

  • Let the total quantity of dog food be T.
  • Let the quantity of dog food per day be D.

Given the following data:

  • Total quantity of dog food = 128 ounces.
  • Quantity of dog food per day = 8 ounces.

To find how many days the dog food would last for:

In this exercise, you're required to find the number of days it would take for Randy's dog food to last, if he feeds the dog 8 ounces of food each day.

Thus, we would divide the two parameters as a ratio:

Number\; of \;days = (T)/(D)\\\\Number\; of \;days = (128)/(8)

Number of days = 16 days.

Therefore, Randy's dog food would only last for 16 days.
