The two spheres above have the same center. One has a radius of 2 cm, the other has a radius of 3 cm. Approximately how much space is in between the two spheres?

Calculate the volume of both spheres and subtract the volume of the smallest from the volume of the biggest.

Volume of a sphere = [4/3] π (r^3)

Volume of the big sphere = [4/3]π(3cm)^3

Volume of the small sphere = [4/3]π(2cm)^3

Space in between = [4/3]π (27 - 8) cm^3 = 79.59 cm^3
