Given f(x) and g(x) = f(x) + k, look at the graph below and determine the value of k.

g(x) = f(x) + k
∴ g(x) = f(x) + 3
∴k = 3

The line G(x) goes through the Y axis at 5 and f(x) goes through at 2. Therefore; G(x) = f(x) + k ... 5 = 2 + k ... K = 3
