Find the coordinates of the midpoint of ab for a (4,7) and B (-6,6)

The coordinates for the midpoint of
ab are
(-1,(13)/(2)).

You can use the midpoint formula (shown below) to solve this problem, by plugging in your two coordinates as
(x_(_1),y_(_1)) and
(x_(_2),y_(_2)).


M = (\frac{x_(_1)+{x_(_2)} }{2} , \frac{y_(_1)+{y_(_2)} }{2})

Worked out, that would be:


M = ((4+(-6) )/(2) , (7+6)/(2)) \\ \\ = ((4-6 )/(2) , (7+6)/(2)) \\ \\ = ((-2 )/(2) , (13)/(2)) \\ \\ = (-1,(13)/(2))
