3 divided by 1/4 is 4

The answer is
12.

To divide
3 by a fraction
( (1)/(4) ), you can multiply
3 by the fraction's reciprocal,
( (4)/(1) ).


3 / (1)/(4) = 3 * (4)/(1)


4/1 is just
4, so in the end you get
3 * 4 = 12.
