w2+5w+6/w2-w-12

factor w2+5w+6 and w2-w-12

w2+5w+6 = (w+3)(w+2)
w2-w-12 = (w+3)(w-4)

new problem: (w+3)(w+2) / (w+3)(w-4)
the (w+3) turns into ones

answer: (w+2) / (w-4)
