1. Why is confidentiality so important in a medical office?

Due to the current HIPPA laws a persons medical information is considered confidential. Office personal is to sign an agreement to keep this information confidential. It is important because people do not want other people to know their business also do not want to discriminated against because there may be something wrong with them. In the medical profession ones medical information is only the business of the patient and the physician
