the answer is 24. you know this because there are three possible choices of colors and 8 numbers. either way, you HAVE to get a color and number. thre color red could be paired with 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 or 8. all the other colors can too. you just have to multiply 8 and 3, leading to the answer

8*3 = 24 possible outcomes: Red 1-8
Green 1-8 and Blue 1-8
