2(6y - 5) - 3y = 2
12y - 10 - 3y = 2
9y - 10 = 2
9y = 12
y = 4/3, or 1 1/3
2x - 3(4/3) = 2
2x - 12/3 = 2
2x - 4 = 2
2x = 6
x = 3
