Marina wants to install security cameras in her store, which has dimensions 48 feet by 48 feet. Each camera can view an area of approximately 128 ft2, with a viewing area shaped like a right triangle.

The distance between grid lines is 4 feet.

How many cameras will be necessary to cover the entire store?

Answer:

18 cameras will be necessary to cover the entire store.

Explanation:

Length of the store= l = 48 feet

Width of the store = w = 48 feet

Area of the store , A= l × w =
48 feet* 48 feet = 2,304 ft^2

Area covered by single camera , a=
128 ft^2

Let the n number of cameras are required to cover the store .

n=(A)/(a)=(2,304 feet^2)/(128 feet^2)=18

18 cameras will be necessary to cover the entire store.
