(x + 7)/2 - (x + 4)/2 = (x + 7 - (x + 4)/2 = (x + 7 - x - 4)/2 = 3/2

we know that the expression is equal to

(x+7)/(2)- (x+4)/(2)

Subtract the two fractions

(x+7)/(2)- (x+4)/(2)=((x+7)-(x+4))/(2) \\\\=(x+7-x-4)/(2)\\\\= (7-4)/(2)\\\\= (3)/(2)

therefore

the answer is

the quantity of
3 over
2
