g(x) = 3x - 5
let g(x) = y
y = 3x - 5
y + 5 = 3x
3x = y + 5
x = (y + 5)/3
From y = g(x), x = g⁻¹(y)
x = (y + 5)/3
g⁻¹(y) =
(y + 5)/3
g⁻¹(x) =
(x + 5)/3
