Why does a calculator return an error when trying to find inverse sine of 1.055?

Calculator shows error because maximum value of inverse of sin function can be one.

Explanation:

The range of sin x is
-1<sinx<1

So, it is of no use to find the value of
sin^(-1)(1.055)

Because range is the value of the output of the function which is maximum 1 in case of sine and cosine function.

The calculator returns an error as the answer for the inverse sine of 1.055 because the acceptable range for sine is only from 0 to 1.00 in which 1.055 is clearly greater than. This is also the same as for the cosine values.
