The angle or theta of the polar coordinate (3, 5pi/3) is 5 pi/3 while the r is 3. The rectangular coordinate is composed of x-component and y-component. x component is equal to r cos theta which is equal to 1.5 while the y-component is equal to r sin theta or equal to -2.60. Hence the rectangular coordinates is (1.5, -2.60)

(3, 5pi/3) = (3cos 5pi/3, 3sin 5pi/3) = (1.5, -2.6)
